Years
before we arrived in Japan, the Kamagawa rose incredible amounts during
a monsoon. The local waterfall, a popular tourist destination, was
washed away in the flood. Amazingly the waterfall has been rebuilt, and
it looks quite natural at first and even second glance. The unnatural
waterfall has a shallow landing, but the run has several other fun
drops and dramatic scenery. Daniel Brasuell enjoys a wild mix of nature
and human engineering.
