It's ironic that Sony has made a
modern FM2 while Nikon has made a modern Minolta Dynax 7D.
David
Kilpatrick says it well here. So I was wrong, judging too much from
a photo. On first glance the Sony A7 looked too big, bulky and just
plain ugly. Little did I know it's almost exactly the size of the Nikon
FM2, a camera I lamented the lack of a
modern
equivalent to last year. I wanted to be in denial. The real
question is can it fully replace my Nikon system for wedding work too?
I sure hope so, because while I enjoyed the image quality of the D600
backpacking, it's just not fun to carry that much weight into the
wilderness.
