Seth Dow, Upper Cherry Creek,
Early Summer 2012 Rapid Magazine. This shot was possible because it was
low enough water to get out below the weir, and my D700 was under
repair at Nikon. In full sunlight the D200 and Sigma 18-200 were just
fine. Shot taken in 2010.
Daniel Stewart, Upper Cherry Creek
in Canoe and Kayak December 2013. One year later and we had higher
water. Daniel is in Cherry Bomb gorge, below the falls. I submitted
this image when it was take in 2011 but I resubmitted it now that Canoe
and Kayak has a new photo editor. We seem to share similar taste. This
image has unique color, it's not been heavily adjusted in photoshop.
Shot on a Nikon D700 and East German Zeiss Jenna 85mm f/2.8 in Pentacon
six mount. This old lens certainly has a different color transmission,
notably high in the orange spectrum.
This may well be my most ever
published image. Matt Thomas on the South Fork San Joaquin in Rapid
Magazine's Early Summmer 2012. This slide was really scary with big
siphons in the lead in, and Matt probed for us. Nikon D200, Nikkor 20mm
f/2.8 shot in 2008.
Jason Craig, Upper Cherry Creek. Canoe and Kayak June 2012, from the
same trip with Seth Dow in 2010. Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm. Magazines
really do love Upper Cherry.
Daniel Brasuell, Cheakamus River, British Columbia. American Whitewater
November/December 2013. This one didn't take years to get to print,
shot in August 2013 on a Nikon D600 and Sigma 150mm f/2.8.
Pretty much same as above, except the Callaghan River in British
Columbia. Really nice shallow depth of field at 150mm f/2.8
Rok Sribar on the East Fork Kaweah for an American Whitewater ad. Shot
on a Nikon D700 and Arsat 35mm f/2.8 T/S lens in 2011.
Laura Farrell on Dinkey Creek for American Whitewater Nov/Dec 2013.
Shot on a Nikon D700, Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 in 2010.
Canoe and Kayak flipbook and last page in August 2013 from Corsica.
Shot on an Olympus E-M5 and Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 in 2013.
